How do you wash Christ United hoodies?
Wash inside out on a cold delicate cycle with like colours. This protects both the heavyweight cotton-blend fleece and the DTG print from breaking down early.

Can you tumble dry Christ United hoodies?
We don't recommend tumble drying. Hang to dry immediately after the wash cycle to keep the heavyweight fleece in shape and prevent any shrinking or distortion.

Will the print crack or fade over time?
Our DTG prints are wash and fade resistant, but to maximise their lifespan always wash inside out and avoid high heat. The colder the wash, the longer the print stays vibrant and sharp.

Can I iron my hoodie?
Steam only — never iron directly over the print. Ironing can permanently damage or crack the graphic. A handheld steamer on the fabric side works perfectly.

Will my hoodie shrink?
To avoid any shrinkage, always wash cold and hang dry. The Gildan 18500 uses pre-shrunk cotton, but high heat from tumble drying is still the most common cause of shrinkage and shape loss.

Can I use fabric softener?
Avoid fabric softener — it can coat the cotton fibres over time and reduce the softness and breathability of the fleece. A mild, colour-safe detergent is all you need.

Built from 271gsm Heavy Blend fleece — a 50% pre-shrunk cotton, 50% polyester construction that strikes the ideal balance between warmth, structure, and everyday wearability. The brushed interior feels immediately soft against the skin and continues to soften with every wash, while the heavyweight fabric holds its shape wash after wash without going limp or thin.

Every detail is engineered for longevity — from the air-jet spun yarn that resists pilling, to the double-needle stitching at the cuffs and waistband, to the 1x1 ribbed hem with Lycra® that keeps its stretch over time. The double-lined hood, matching drawcord, and front kangaroo pocket round out a construction built to last well beyond the season.

The 50/50 cotton-polyester blend also makes this one of the best bases for DTG printing — the cotton fibres absorb the ink deeply for sharp, vibrant artwork, while the polyester adds durability and wrinkle resistance so the hoodie looks clean and fresh even after heavy wear.
